Cereal Sweeteners and Starches
Our speciality cereal food starches and sweeteners can be used to give energy to sports drinks, replace fats in yoghurts, add sheen to fruit pies, help heat dissipate in microwave meals and improve the shelf-life of food. Cereal sweeteners are produced by hydrolyzing the native starch slurry. Typical customers include major branded food and beverage manufacturers. These ingredients work together to bring energy, vitality and innovation to a wide range of consumer products.
Our industrial starches add strength, texture and creat operational efficiencies for the building and paper industries. Native and modified starches are used to increase dry paper strength and improve surface conditions. Modified starches are also used in the manufacturing of corrugated board to bond the different layers of paper. Starches are also used in adhesive and building product applications, and are used in the textile industry to increase weaving efficiencies
These ingredients are produced by our Food & Industrial Ingredients divisions in Europe and the Americas.
